  1. Soak the raisins and set aside

  6. Cook over low-medium heat for 90 minutes
  7. Add split peas to a saucepan

  19. Mix one tablespoon of saffron water with two tablespoons of lemon juice
  20. Add one tablespoon of oil and one tablespoon of meat stock to the saffron and lemon juice mixture
  21. Drizzle the mixture over the meat and cover the pan with aluminum foil
  22. Place the pan in the oven and cook for fifteen minutes
  23. Wash and drain the rice and cover it with water and mix one teaspoon of salt
  24. Drain the rice from the water and add it to a medium saucepan
  25. Add enough meat stock to cover the rice
  26. Bring to a boil and heat for 15-20 minutes
